Summer has arrived in Southern California and it's the most popular time for weddings. I got married last year and had my bridal shower in my sister-in-law's backyard. I've always been a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland (who isn't...let's be honest) and I wanted a more adult and vintage Mad Hatter inspired tea party for my shower. I had fun planning the entire thing with my mother and sister-in-law. We made sure no detail went untouched no matter how small it might be. My favorite part about planning this shower was the thrift and vintage store shopping. Everything we used for the party we either already owned or purchased at a second hand store. With a little imagination and a million cans of spray paint we turned her backyard into a wonderland.

Los Angeles may have some smog and gloom hovering during the day from time to time but the night is alive and bright 365 days a year. If it's your first time in Los Angeles rent a convertible and drive down Sunset Boulevard at night. It's known for all the bight billboards and wild nightlife. It takes less than an hour out of your night leaving the rest open for other sources of entertainment.

I've never been a huge fan of the Getty Museum, as a museum. I'm more into modern and contemporary art but that's not to say I don't appreciate all areas of creation. There is, however, one thing I absolutely love about the Getty Museum and that's the grounds it was built on. The architecture is simply stunning and the views, on a good day, are breathtaking. They also had a great photography exhibit going on. It's prohibited to take pictures inside the museum but I didn't make the trek for that; I was there to enjoy the gardens and beauty located outside the museum walls.
Read MoreIt Feels So Good to be Back!
I can't even begin to explain how good it feels to be moved in, somewhat organized and back to exploring. Moving this time around was nothing short of a full body workout. This is the first time my husband and I moved ourselves with no extra help. I always think I don't have a lot of stuff until I start moving everything out, only to realize I've been living in Mary Poppins' suitcase, the "stuff" never ends. Now we're settled and hoping to stay for a little longer than our previous place. As for now...CALIFORNIA LOOKOUT CAUSE HERE I COME!
Moving on up...to the west side
Tomorrow I'm moving. My husband and I move a lot and we're getting to the point where we need to find a place we can be content with for a while...before we move again. We both don't quite feel like we're ready to "settle down", home-wise so to speak, so we like to move and take opportunities when they arise, but right now we need to slow down a little (and I mean a little). This move will help us feel content until our next opportunity knocks at the door. We're moving to Orange County, which is not our first choice but it's closer to my husband's job. On top of being sick, I'm not looking forward to this move. We thought moving in the middle of a work week would be easier because most people won't be around watch us lug our junk from one home to another. Here's to hoping our theory is right. Another downside to moving, other than packing and unpacking is....I won't have internet for a couple of days. The move and being sick has put a temporary hold on exploring California. So bare with me and before you know it I'll be out discovering new things. I have a few trips planned that have me so excited to share. Until then...wish me luck on my move, check my instagram and I'll be back in a couple days.
Lazy Monday Afternoon

I've come down with a little head cold and I've been advised to rest and get lots of sleep. Unfortunately, that means my adventures have to be put on hold for a few days but have no fear, I will still be posting from one of the most comfortable places in my home...my bed! I'l have the company of my 2 dogs and fluffy cat so it won't be so bad having to stay in!
